Me, the Has Been

I love sports! My happiest and earliest memories involve some sort of ball. Sports are and were my life, but I also made time for guys, hanging out with friends, makeup, hair, gossip, accessories, and trips to the mall (Yes, I am a Jersey girl.) Over the years, some of my best friends were made on the fields, courts, and diamonds. But, at the same time, some of my worst battles occurred on those same fields, courts, and diamonds. As a tween and teen, I loved to read, but I could never find a character I felt like I identified with. Most novels I picked up, the female characters either hated sports with a passion or athletics weren't a big part of their lives. More often than not, I grabbed boy books to satisfy my sports hunger. When I sat down to write a novel, my goal was to feed the sports literature craving in every jockette. Hence, Ashley Clarke and Screwball were born.
